About Aaron Gray - web developer, web designer coffs harbour

I was born in June 1984 in the city of Melbourne, Australia. While I experienced a relatively regular childhood, I was introduced to design and computers at an early age. By the age of 12, I had began to develop websites and continued to develop websites throughout the remainder of my schooling years. Before even completing school, I knew exactly what I wanted to do and where I needed to be...

I graduated from Swinburne University, the National School of Design in February 2006 with a Bachelor of Multimedia design, specialising in both web applications and flash games. In May 2006, I was employed by Show & Tell Creative, a small design studio located in the Melbourne CBD as a web developer. After working in the CBD, drinking lots of coffee and utilising a shitty train service daily for more than two years, I decided to make a move up the coast to Coffs Harbour. Show & Tell welcomed the idea and gave me the opportunity to move and to continue to work for the company, from home. To date, I still continue to work for Show & Tell as a full time senior web developer while also completing some freelance work on the side. In my free time, I continue to research and further my knowledge in technologies such as Javascript (MooTools), XHTML5 and modular PHP while developing my web PHP framework and CMS labeled FSE (Function, Security, Environment).

I started whitewater kayaking in 2009 following the move to Coffs Harbour. I love paddling the local rivers and creeks of the area as I aim to improve and push my paddling ability. I also enjoy other sports and activities such as snowboarding, sandboarding and playing the drums. I am also a retired skateboarder due to extensive wrist injuries.
